FACULTY
Faculty of Computing & IT
Overview of Faculty
The Faculty of Computing & IT prepares graduates for a field that changes faster than any syllabus can be written. Through the School of Computing & IT it offers six undergraduate degrees — Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Data Science, Software Engineering and Information Technology — together with an MS in Computer Science for those continuing into research and specialisation. Curricula follow the Higher Education Commission's scheme of studies and are benchmarked against leading computing faculties internationally, not against regional norms alone. Teaching is deliberately practical: students build, break and defend working systems in dedicated laboratories, so that what they learn is demonstrable rather than merely examinable. The Faculty exists in large part to keep this expertise in Southern Punjab. Its graduates are equipped for the software houses, financial institutions, public-sector technology offices and international teams that increasingly recruit from Multan and its neighbouring districts — and for the responsibility that comes with building systems other people depend on.
