UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM
BS (Data Science)
Overview
The BS (Data Science) program builds a core computing and statistics foundation before advancing into machine learning, big data technologies, and data visualization. Following HEC's Computing curriculum, the program balances mathematical and statistical grounding with applied data projects, culminating in a Final Year Project across its eight-semester structure. Data Science students at MUST work with real datasets in dedicated computing labs from their core semesters onward, building practical fluency in data tools and techniques rather than studying statistics abstractly. This applied approach, combined with Final Year Project mentorship, prepares graduates for data analyst, data scientist, and business intelligence roles across a wide range of industries.
