Overview

The BS (Anesthesia Technology) program trains students to assist anesthesiologists in surgical and critical care settings, covering anesthesia equipment management, patient monitoring, and perioperative care. The curriculum combines physiology and pharmacology coursework with HEC Allied Health Sciences-aligned clinical training across its eight-semester structure. Students train on real anesthesia and monitoring equipment in dedicated labs before advancing to extensive operating room clinical placements, gaining direct experience supporting live surgical procedures under supervision. This hands-on operating-room training prepares graduates for a highly specialized and consistently in-demand allied health role within hospital surgical and critical care teams.
